Girls & Boys Basketball Group Training in San Marcos & Carlsbad
Working in a collective environment allows young players to develop essential team skills and the proper group mindset focused on achieving better results with every game they play. Coach Tony Laguna offers group training ($25/session) for groups of 5 – 10 children. Players of different ages and skill sets will naturally have different aims and aspects of the game that they will seek to develop. This is also true for most teams who always seek to improve their performance in areas they perceive as lacking.

Our Group Training Programs
- Improving Basketball Fundamentals - Footwork, dribbling, proper handling, passing, and shooting are the most basic skills needed in basketball. Our group training includes learning and improving all of these necessary skills to help athletes become better players.
- Speed and Agility Drills - Our program is designed to improve a player’s quickness, acceleration, and deceleration in the game. By learning how to control these skills, players can easily outmaneuver their opponents.
- Sprinting Programs - More than improving quickness and speed, a player needs to develop explosive power. Our sprinting programs are designed to help players gain that competitive edge while avoiding injuries that come from the strain of sprints.
- Endurance Conditioning - Our endurance training will let players build the needed stamina to maintain a fast pace for an entire game. It is specially designed with high-intensity training and a series of drills to build exceptional cardiovascular endurance.
- Jump Work - Your vertical jump and explosiveness can mean the difference between blocking a shot and watching your opponent score. Through our Jump Work Program, we help athletes significantly improve their vertical to dominate on the court.
- Lifting Programs - A proper weight training program is essential to develop the important muscles needed to become a great basketball player. Our programs are designed to target your whole body so that no muscle is neglected.
- Injury Reduction and Recovery - Knowing how to reduce the risk of injuries and how to recover properly extends your longevity as an athlete. Our program focuses on identifying and addressing weaknesses in the body, allowing you to perform at your best.
- Psychology - Your mentality about the game affects your performance. Learning how to get up and improve after a loss, how to perform under pressure, and how to stay calm and maintain confidence during a game helps athletes become resilient both on and off the court.
- Group Dynamics and Development - Basketball is a team sport, and this program focuses on building a supportive and cohesive team by improving communication and building trust in your teammates. By developing these life skills, we teach players how to succeed as a unit.
